About 30 minutes, at absolute beginner pace. Obsidian installed with one vault. Claude Code running inside it, reading and writing your files. Both side by side in a single window.

Two terminal commands, explained like you have never seen a command line, because most people have not. Authentication, the permission prompts, and the security warning your own computer throws at you are handled on camera, including the moment it happened to me while recording.

By the end, you type a request and a file appears where you can see it, named the way you asked, in a folder you chose.

Part 2: The Build

The part that makes it yours. Recorded live with real people asking real questions, wrong turns left in, because that is what building one of these actually looks like.

You describe what you do and how you like to work. Claude designs the structure around that, then extends it with things you did not think to ask for.

  • Skills for the work you repeat. A morning routine as the worked example.
  • The context layer, built from your own past writing, so it stops meeting you as a stranger.
  • Being interviewed by the machine instead of typing your context out.
  • Cascading memory, so it stays fast and cheap as it fills up.

Will It work for me?

The 4 things stopping you

"I have never opened the terminal and I do not want to"
Neither did I, and I still resent it. That is exactly why this exists. You need two commands, cd and ls, and I explain both like you have never seen a command line, because most people have not. After the setup, you rarely touch it again.
"Obsidian looks complicated"
It can be. It does not have to be. For this guide it is one folder with notes in it. Everything else is optional forever.
"I do not want AI reading my private files"
Good instinct, and the video shows you the answer: make a separate vault for the work you would have handed to AI anyway. Your taxes, your family, your banking never go in it. This is not all-or-nothing.
"I already have Claude running in a vault"
Then part one is review and part two is why you are here. Skim the first video or skip it. Nothing in the build assumes you watched me install anything.

This is NOT for everybody

Hell Yes.

  • Everything AI gives you reads like it was written for somebody else, and you rewrite most of it
  • You run a business alone and the admin is eating the work you are actually good at
  • The terminal makes you nervous and you would rather someone walk you through it once

Before you decide

How long is it?
About 30 minutes. Do it with me on screen, pausing as you go, and give yourself an afternoon. Done.
Mac or Windows?
Both. The recording is on a Mac. The Windows differences are called out where they matter.
Do I need to pay for Claude?
Yes. You need a Claude account. A paid plan is what most people will want for real work, and the video shows the login steps either way.
Do I need to know Obsidian already?
No. I have an entire channel devoted to helping you build it out extensively. For this? It's super simple.
Is there a vault template to download?
No, and that is deliberate. A vault built around how somebody else thinks never fits you, which is why the ones people download get abandoned. Yours takes a minute to make and it is shaped like your work from the start.
What if I get stuck?
Ask in the community. I answer, and the answer goes into the course so nobody hits it twice.
What is part two?
